sleep, schedules, and super fireworks!

It is almost noon! If I could get anymore behind I would be following me! I did wake up after 9! I didn't sleep well. I am worried about mom. And when I should have gone to bed at nine last night when I was so tired....I got my second wind then and stayed on line til 11:30. Plus I was waiting for my cat to come in. Then slept for a bit and the coughing began. Nyquil and bed again. Frustrating night. Papa got up earlier and had his coffee and has been sleeping in his chair since I got up. I am glad... it has been a long week for him. He needs some rest today.

The adults baseball has started up. Ryan's men's hardball team has been playing... but I just got the schedule today so we plan on making some of those games. They are cool too watch! And then Joel, Karla and Tara will be playing softball starting Wednesday night! That will be fun to watch. Sadly we lost some players from last year... half my family! Kev, Meghan, Ryan, Amanda and Jerk aren't playing this year. =( I guess that's life.... I can't control the world.) Just saying it was lots of fun the past 2 years with the all of them.

Planning on going to mom's tonight to see the July 3rd fireworks over Poulsbo. They are awesome! She has such a great view and we can drive straight out of there over Lincoln! Not much of a traffic fight! Have absolutely no plans for the fourth. Most people are camping. The neighbors were shooting them off last night... one was very illegal. Probably woke the whole neighborhood up and I was lucky my cat came home! I am also happy Toby isn't afraid.

Hoping to get back into the swing of things.... starting with memory picture of the day! It was taken July 3, 2004 at Maddie's 1st birthday party. We all started singing and she freaked out!! I can't blame her but were we really that bad???? From her face... I would say yes!

Andrew's devotion from yesterday!
1 CORINTHIANS 16:13"Hold fast to what you believe in, and put your faith in God, and you can get through anything. I cannot stress enough how important this verse it!"

Great verse Andrew! I need that right now! Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend! xoxo! Keep praying for mom and our marines!!!! Hold fast & be strong!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY GIRL!!!!

Happy Birthday, Karla!!!!!!!!

My little girl and greatest joy turned 35 today. If she wants to play it out... she is still 34 until 8:55 p.m. lol! I love my Charlie! We've had our ups and downs over the years because we are mother/daughter..... but the ups totally overshadow any downs. We've grown closer as she has grown up and I would do anything for her! I love you, Karla Jean, with all my heart and all my being and will forever and ever! There is nothing you could ever do to change that! You were a dream come true from the first time I held you and brought you home... and that will never end. Happy Birthday!!!! xoxo! Here are some random pictures of Karla over the years.... her many expressions, attitudes, smiles and good times!!! Enjoy.....
That's all.... Karla says bye bye!

PS..... MOM UPDATE... I know alot of family check for updates so here goes....
Her feet are swollen... water retention. Also a bit puffy under her right eye and a bit bruised but that could be from rubbing it. She tires out very easy. I got there after 1 yesterday afternoon and she was sleeping. After she got up I made her seasoned breast and veggie. She doesn't eat much at all. That was around 4.... she slept again and got up for awhile and slept some more and went to bed around 8. She got up and I made her an egg sandwich. She went back to bed and slept for a couple hours. Me too. Then Lois and Rick arrived. They went to Subway and Albertsons to get a few things for mom. Lois is staying there several days.... trying to get mom's strength back up. Rick went back home but is going to come stay next weekend with mom. She doesn't like "hovering" but she still needs some care. To tell you the truth.... I am worried about her. Keep praying. Thanks!

Girls had a blast... boys got bored. lol!

Good Thursday morning! Almost the weekend! A 3-dayer! Yippee! And almost the 4th of July! Have no plans. Oh well.
Here are some pictures from lunch yesterday. The girls had bought those nasty looking lunchables with pizza. But they made their little pizza's and warmed them up and loved them! What ever.. lol.
Andrew was tired and didn't stay over night. My computer went down for a while and it isn't very entertaining when you're tired and Dylan wasn't feeling that well.
Dylan just layed around with a headache and then went home.

Another late night and early morning for me. Girls are still sleeping... but it is 6:30. Not much planned today except to see mom and take the girls home. :( We have had a good time.

Yesterday the girls took a "forever" shower. But they love it. After my shower and the clothes dried we took the boys home and went to moms. She was in bed with her feet swollen. Not looking good so I called her doctor to ok her taking some of her water pills. So I gave her a couple and I am sure she was up all night peeing. Sorry mom. But she needs to release some of that water! She's been avoiding salt and doing good there. I am worried. Hopefully when I go over there today I will see a big difference! The girls and I cleaned mom's place for her. Lauren did dishes and vacuumed. Maddie dusted and swept. They did awesome. Then we wrapped the meat individually for mom and froze it. When we shopped yesterday we bought a couple chicken breasts... so we had to separate and freeze. The girls did quite good at that, too. Grandma got up and was so happy with her apartment and the girls and thought they were soooo sweet to do that for her. The girls kept saying during the cleaning how happy they were to help Grandma and when I get old they are going to do the same for me! Isn't that sweet? Good lesson in serving for the girls.

Came home and had dinner and the girls laid in bed and giggles and laughed and cracked each other up for over an hour. I finally let them turn the tv on to settle them down and they watched it for a little bit and shut it down and fell asleep. Silly kids!

Well.... that's about it. I am going to go lay down. I am tired!
