What a wonderful Easter!!!! Christ rose from the dead and broke the power of sin and death! Thank you Jesus! What a happy day for us!!!!
Had a great day yesterday! Kids and grand kids came over for brunch and an Easter egg hunt! It was so nice! Karla brought some fruit and two big boxes of doughnuts! They were the first to arrive so I put her to work. Tara showed up with more fruit and went to work too! I got some beautiful pink carnations from her too (my favorite flowers). We started eating when Amanda and the kids came and everyone seemed to love it! After we ate and played a bit.... it was time for the Easter egg hunt. Dads hid them.... kids found them. Kind of funny..... there was one left and they looked and looked.... finally Maddie come in demanding to know where that egg was! Joel laughed and said he really didn't know. It was funny how she thought they would remember every egg they hid! Kids had fun opening the candy eggs.
Posted lots of pics on my facebook for you to see.... and a few here! ;D
First is the cupcake Easter Baskets I made .... the handles were falling over a bit. lol! I am not that creative.... this is the best I do.

The kids eating a brunch of a Breakfast Casserole, Pigs in a Blanket, Doughnuts and Fruit!

It was so fun! A new yearly tradition..... leaves plenty of day for them to go home and color eggs and stuff. A good way to get into the Easter weekend!
Today we
were going to church while the turkey bakes.... then coming home to finish the dinner and take it to mom's to have dinner there! Papa had a bad night.... I'm not sure why but he is grounded. I will take dinner to mom for the two of us. That will be nice, too! Have a wonderful Easter with lots of blessings, love, laughter, good food, and time to think about what God sacrificed and thank Him!!!
