our easter is today....

Here is my whine section..... skip it if you don't want to hear it: Well... I was correct about yesterday. Highs and lows. I wanted to burst into tears at WalMart. Luckily I ran into Norene, Tessa, Sandy and Ardie from high school. Kind of holds back the tears when you see people you know. lol! When Mary and I got to Walmart her legs were too tired so I took her cart and mine.... put her on a bench... and pushed two carts around. Killed my back and I lost her list! I had to go by memory. I only forgot two things that weren't that important. Papa came to the rescue at the check stand. I finished with Mary and took her off the bench and home. Papa took care of our groceries. Thank you papa! Plus I had my bladder urges and stops and pain all day! Oh, and I almost dropped Mary's house key down the mail slot on those big blue mail boxes! It was so windy, rainy and nasty I thought Mary would blow away. She is only 100 pounds!!! Maybe more wet.... don't know. The whole day was like that. First we'd gone to her doctor appointment which was good. Then to Sizzler for fish and rice. That was lots of fun except for the potty breaks. She is a sweetheart. We thought we got rearended in Bremerton... it was the trunk of Papa's car popping open! It was loud! Scared us to death! Then tackled walmart. On my way home from Mary's there was a tree and power pole across the highway so I had to detour. It felt so good to get home.

Today will be better! Making Easter cupcakes! Baking a Breakfast Casserole and Sausage wraps. Bough OJ and Chocolate Milk. Bought a Pineapple and Banana's! And Karla is bringing doughnuts! We're having a brunch at 10:00. Then the kids are going to find Easter Eggs! The girls are bringing the eggs. Should be a great morning and lots of pictures to post tomorrow!
And for Easter after church I am making a dinner and taking it over to mom's new apartment! We'll have our first meal there and be her first guests! Then she can have the leftovers. She'll like that!

Low's of the week:
Saying bye to mom's home

Here is your news of the day.... what is this world coming to????

Easter Bunny Roughed Up Outside Candy Shop

Police: Man Slammed Woman In Costume To Ground

Police said a woman dressed as the Easter Bunny to promote a Hudson Valley candy shop was slammed to the ground by a man who then ran away. The 46-year-old woman, who was dressed in a white bunny costume, was not seriously hurt in the attack around 5 p.m. Wednesday outside the Alps Sweet Shoppe on Main Street in the village of Fishkill. State police Investigator George Mohl said the attacker has not been caught. The man was described as about 17 years old with blonde hair, wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a green zippered sweat shirt.

Weather to Expect:
We will continue to see the wet and windy weather easing through the day as Seattle is on the back side of Friday's storm. Temps remain cool, in the upper 40s, with some sun breaks at times.
Easter Sunday sees a chance of light sprinkles in the morning, otherwise partly sunny and warmer, in the mid 50s.
Showers pick up again Sunday night and threaten Monday and Tuesday.

Saying goodbye to our parents home.... and praising God for the years there.... and for sending His Son for us!

One of my favorite songs.... and so right for today:

MercyMe The Nails in Your Hands Lyrics:
[CHORUS A]
The nails in your hands
The nail in your feet,
they tell me how much you love me
The thorns in your brow,
they tell me how, you
bore so much shame to
love me.

[CHORUS B]
And when the heavens pass away,
all your scars will still remain,
and forever they will say,
how much you love me.
Forever my love, Forever my heart
Forever my life, it's
yours, it's yours.

Yesterday was nice. Papa went to the doctor.... just has a cold. No pneumonia. No bronchitis. That is good. He needs to use his inhaler. It was Makoa and I in the morning. Still couldn't get him to sleep. Not til after 11:30. Then he slept 2 hours. Papa got Lauren and then they spent some time playing.

After Makoa left we went to mom's. Mom told us if we see anything we want to take it. Didn't take much.... but I found my daddy's double blade razor. And his drivers licenses. Made me sad. Took some more pictures to scan.... will probably save some for Lois... ones she doesn't have. I grabbed he card table and a shelf I love.... saving it for her. Lanny got his buffalo picture and the chocolate chips in the freezer. lol! Mom stocks up for some reason. It was my last time there and it was hard. Lauren made it easier. She found some stuffed animals, a broom, and some goodies and kept worrying that the cops were going to get us. "Are you sure this is ok?" Too cute. Called mom so she could reassure her. Goodbye home.... my sister and her husband plan to fix it up now and rent it out.
My picture of the day is Andrew in April 1998... i think. So sweet.

I am not thinking this is going to be one of my better days. Some times you wake up just knowing that. It is raining and windy.... and going to get worse and warning the bridge will probably be closed off and on.... I need to take Mary to the doctor in Bremerton..... problem is I am having bladder infection symptoms again and in pain and in the bathroom for naught. You women may understand. Not a good day. Plus I need to go to the store and get stuff for brunch tomorrow! Kids and grandkids are coming for an easter egg hunt and brunch. I just want to start this day over.

On a good note.... it is Good Friday when Jesus did an amazing thing for us all. What a price he paid.... his own life for you. Took your punishment for YOU screwing up! Wow.... that is love!

The nail-pierced hands of Jesus reveal the love-filled hear to God!
Jennifer Renz was pregnant with twins. But when the North Canton mother went into premature labor recently, only one baby was born.A full week later, she delivered its twin."The whole time I wanted them to have separate identities and be separate people and now, they have their own separate, special days," Renz said Wednesday after leaving a Cleveland hospital.Renz went into labor while at her doctor's office on March 22. She wasn't due for another 12 weeks, but gave birth at a Cleveland hospital to a 1-pound, 13-ounce girl, named Grace. Her twin brother, however, held back."When the first twin delivered, the uterus just stopped," said Dr. Michael Gyves, Renz's obstetrician. "The cervix started to close. The worst part is she had to go through two pregnancies at once."Doctors, weighing their options, thought it was better to wait until twin No. 2 was ready to come out.Noah was born a week later at 2 pounds, 15 ounces. Both infants are now in a neonatal intensive care unit."I just hope that they just keep doing good and passing the milestones," Renz said.
Weather to Expect:
A strong storm is packing rain, wind, and heavy mountain snow for your Friday. Rain is on the increase this morning and will continue through the rest of the day. Showers will let up a bit around the Seattle area this afternoon, as the central sound will be in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Puget Sound lowlands where we could see gusts 50 to 55 mph. Wind will peak around the Seattle area early this afternoon. The mountains are getting hammered with heavy snow. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect with 1 to 3 feet of snow possible over the Cascades and Olympics.
The storm moves out for tomorrow, allowing the wind to ease up and the mountain snow to start tapering off Saturday afternoon. Showers will continue throughout the day Saturday with a few sunbreaks.
Easter Sunday looks dry around Puget Sound, but a few showers are possible along the Washington coast. It will be breezy at times on Sunday, but the wind will not be nearly as strong as today.
Showers will pick up into early next week.

Nap time, sick time and doctor time....

Now this is what a sweet baby boy looks like! At nap time I laid him in the toy room on the low bed with a fan on and a blanket over the window. It was so comfy looking in there I wanted to take a nap!!!
Yesterday was pretty easy.... only had Lauren and her and Makoa got along great.... but she is like a helicopter and hovers over him. When she leaves the room she says "Watch him, mam."
She just needed the time alone to warm up.
He had part of a cookie and sure loved it!Papa stayed home yesterday. He isn't feeling well at all.... stayed home today too. I made him a doctor appointment this morning. I got up in the middle of the night with my throat on fire and took a cough drop and medicene..... papa was in his chair and I didn't like the way he was breathing! He actually listened to me when I said to stay home! shock.

No grandkids til later... just Makoa any minute. I'll pick up Lauren after her dentist appointment.... and Andrew and his Uncle Kevon is going to see Owl City tonight in Seattle!!! Andrew's very first concert ever! He is so excited! Favorite singer of all time and his Uncle Kevon should be tons of fun!

No jokes on this site today.... just the facts.memory picture of the day taken April 1, 2006... Joshua and Riley
verse of the day:
Thought for the day:ok.... one joke.... your laugh for the day:
Strange State news for the day:
A Clark County deputy is suing Burger King after he claims an employee spit in his Whopper. Deputy Edward Bylsma was in his marked patrol car last March when he visited a Vancouver Burger King drive-thru. A police dog named Hans was in the backseat. When he received his food, Bylsma said he noticed an employee acting suspiciously. Bylsma said when he opened his burger; he found a thick layer of saliva underneath the patty. The deputy believes the employee spit in his food. 22 year old Gary Herb of Vancouver is accused of spitting in the deputy's food. Bylsma's attorney says DNA tests link Herb to the saliva found in the hamburger. A man who answered the door at Herb's Vancouver home had no comment. The complaint against Burger King Corp. and Kaizen Foods, which owns the restaurants in the northwest, demands changes to Burger King's hiring and supervision policies, as well as unspecified damages.
Weather to Expect:
The first day of April brings us a few scattered showers, mainly this afternoon as a warm front moves into our area. The skies will stay partly sunny with high temperatures running in the mid to low 50s this afternoon.
A strong storm for this time of year moves in tomorrow. Friday's storm will be packing increased rain, gusty wind, and heavy mountain snow. Temperatures will be falling back down into the upper 40s. A High Wind Watch will take effect tomorrow for wind gusts up to 55 mph around Puget Sound and up to 65 mph around the Washington Coast. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued as well, where another 1 to 2 feet of snow is possible for the Cascades and Olympics.
Showers and sunbreaks are in the forecast with upper 40s Saturday.
Easter Sunday looks dry with breezy conditions.
